This banana bread is incredibly moist, flavorful, and easy to make—perfect for using up overripe bananas!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ½ cup brown sugar

  • ½ cup butter, softened

  • 2 eggs, beaten

  • 2 ⅓ cups mashed overripe bananas (about 4-5 bananas)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.

  2. Mix dry ingredients: In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.

  3. Cream butter and sugar: In another bowl, beat butter and brown sugar until smooth. Add eggs and mashed bananas, mixing well.

  4. Combine: Gradually fold dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined (do not overmix).

  5. Bake: Pour batter into the loaf pan and bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.

  6. Cool: Let it rest in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
