How to Prepare the Mixture

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon of honey
  • Juice of 1 fresh lemon
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 3-4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1-inch piece of fresh ginger, grated

Instructions:

  1. Finely chop the onion and garlic. Grate the ginger to extract its juices and essential oils.
  2. In a bowl, combine the lemon juice and honey.
  3. Add the chopped onion, minced garlic, and grated ginger to the honey-lemon mixture.
  4. Mix thoroughly until all components are well combined.
  5. Allow the mixture to sit for a few hours, preferably overnight, to let the flavors and beneficial compounds meld together.
  6. Store the mixture in a sealed glass jar in the refrigerator for up to one week.

Usage Guidelines

For optimal results, consume 1 tablespoon of this mixture daily, preferably on an empty stomach in the morning to maximize absorption and benefits. If you are using it to combat cold or flu symptoms, you may take it twice daily.

You can take the mixture directly or add it to warm water to create a soothing tea. However, ensure the water is not too hot, as excessive heat can degrade some of the beneficial compounds, particularly those in honey.
