KFC Coleslaw Recipe

  • ½ cup mayonnaise

  • 1 tsp salt

  • Pinch of black pepper

  • 1 shredded carrot

  • 1 yellow or white onion, chopped

  • 2 tbsp lemon juice

  • 1 small cabbage, shredded

  • ¼ cup milk

  • ¼ cup buttermilk

  • ⅓ cup granulated sugar

  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar


How to Make This Creamy, Crunchy Coleslaw:

  1. In a large bowl, toss together all the shredded veggies—cabbage, carrot, and onion.

  2. In a separate bowl, whisk all the dressing ingredients until smooth and creamy.

  3. Pour the dressing over the veggies and mix thoroughly.

  4. Cover and chill in the fridge for at least 4-5 hours (overnight is even better!).

  5. Serve chilled alongside your favorite fried chicken, burgers, or grilled meats and watch it disappear!


Quick Tip:

Short on time? You can use pre-shredded coleslaw mix from the store. It won’t be exactly like KFC’s, but it’ll get you there in a pinch.
