Lemon Tiramisu Recipe

This zesty Lemon Tiramisu puts a refreshing twist on the classic Italian dessert, layering creamy mascarpone with lemon-infused ladyfingers for a bright, citrusy treat.

Ingredients:

  • 24 ladyfingers

  • 1 cup lemon juice (freshly squeezed for best flavor)

  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 8 oz mascarpone cheese (room temperature)

  • 1 cup heavy cream (chilled)

  • ½ cup powdered sugar

  • Zest of 1 lemon (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Lemon Syrup:

    • In a small saucepan, combine lemon juice and granulated sugar. Heat over medium, stirring until the sugar dissolves completely. Remove from heat and let cool.

  2. Make the Mascarpone Cream:

    • In a large bowl, whip the heavy cream and powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.

    • Gently fold in the mascarpone cheese until smooth and well combined.

  3. Assemble the Tiramisu:

    • Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the cooled lemon syrup (do not oversoak, or they’ll become mushy).

    • Arrange a layer of soaked ladyfingers in the bottom of a serving dish.

    • Spread half of the mascarpone mixture evenly over the ladyfingers.

    • Repeat with another layer of dipped ladyfingers and the remaining mascarpone cream.

  4. Chill & Serve:

    • Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours (or overnight for best results).

    • Before serving, garnish with freshly grated lemon zest.
